ONLINE SHOPPING OF GROCERY ITEMS AND COSMETICS- Legalabcd

Hi Friends,

Here i would like to share my personal experience of online shopping of Grocery and cosmetics items.

It was a day 22-02-2020 when i ordered two cosmetic products name:

i) Indulekha Bhringa Hair Oil at Rs.324 (Not Returnable).

ii) Garnier Men Acno Fight Pimple Cream at Rs.165 (Not Returnable).

from online famous platform and this products was delivered to me as on 24-02-2020.

When received these products i had some doubts on their genuineness then make a enquiry about these products from google but didn't satisfied and not get proper answer.

Then, i made a phone call to their respective customer cares,

Firstly i made  a phone call to Indulekha  Bhringa Hair Oil customer care, which is one of the product of Hindustan Unilever Ltd. The customer care asked my details such as Name, address, from where this products purchase, name of supplier mentioned in invoice etc.  Then, i asked how to know that Indulekha i have purchased is genuine or not? he said that there code and phone number would be mention in the wrapper of Indulekha if, you send this code to that phone number then you will get confirmation that product is genuine or not.

Secondly to Garnier  customer care and she ask the same detail of mine as mentioned above when i have asked how to check genuineness of products then she said that there is no such mark from where we can check genuiness like Indulekha.

How to check the product i have buy is genuine or not?

  1. Buy same product from offline market if there is any difference then ask the respective Brand customer care executive for products genuineness. or
  2. Call directly to respective Brand Customer Care Executive to check genuineness of product.
Note:- Make sure your Call Recording is on while talking to the Customer Care Executive because this Call Recording would be proof as document in future case.

What we should do when this type of incident took place?

As you know that cosmetics item we buy from online platform is "Not Returnable" categories products. Hence, you can not return these products.
So, what we should do in this case.

  • Call the Customer Care Executive from where you have purchased these products like Amazon, Flipkart etc. and tell them all about the case that happened with you. They will definitely call back their products.
  • If, above solution does not work then download National Consumer App from play store and call the customer care executive they tell you all procedure to be followed in this case. In this case you definitely get your money back.

Moreover, take a pictures of all products which you are going to return.
